A Day in the Role
A typical day might start with a team stand-up, discussing ongoing projects and any blockers.
You’ll work on designing, building, and automating our Azure data platform (including Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Key Vault, SQL DB, and Azure Management Service).
You’ll develop and integrate CI/CD pipelines, implement standard methodologies for monitoring and observability, and ensure robust data governance and security.
You’ll also mentor colleagues, drive continuous improvement, and support live initiatives, including participation in a support rota.
Flexibility is built in, with opportunities to collaborate across locations and upskill within a supportive team environment.
Key Criteria
* Proven experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps roles within complex, data-centric environments.
* Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure data services and automation tools (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
* Strong background in developing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
* Commitment to continuous learning and sharing knowledge.
