Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced practitioner with a minimum of Level 3 to join our growing team as a deputy manager. We follow the curiosity approach in an amazing environment and we are easy to reach just off the A59 (York/Harrogate)
We are looking for someone skilled to become a member of the management team (primarily floor based + room lead). Plenty of CPD and scope to progress in a supportive team - any additional training will be provided. Enthusiasm is the most important thing for us and we want someone who loves what they do
We have onsite parking/good pension scheme/additional leave and good rates of pay. The vast majority of our staff are L3+ qualified and we are open 7.30am-6.00pm
Responsibilities
* Support in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote early childhood development.
* Supervise and interact with children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
* Be capable of leading a room and supporting/organising/delegating more junior members of staff where necessary.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment.
* Support and guide excellent practice
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is needed
* A full and relevant Level 3 is needed. We are happy to support you if you wish to gain e.g. a level 5/6 apprenticeship or EYTS.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children and staff effectively.
* A drive to support children's learning through play and structured activities.
* Familiarity with childcare best practices and health & safety regulations is beneficial.
* Experience in managing/senior role strongly preferred (e.g. room leading, management role)
