Senior Community Support Worker (Positive Behaviour Support)

We have a rewarding new opportunity for a Senior Community Support Worker (Positive Behaviour Support) to work within our new Early Intervention and Prevention service.
Location
The Early Intervention and Prevention service is based at a Children Centre in Wythenshawe, Manchester. Successful candidates will work across North, Central and South Manchester in partnership with the City of Manchester Local Authority.
Salary & Hours
Salary: £29,108 (£14.93 per hour). Weekend rate pays a 25% premium of the normal hourly rate. Sleep‑in shift pays £100.80 per shift.
Responsibilities
* Provide first‑line management to a team of Community Support Workers (Positive Behaviour Support).
* Develop their capability by demonstrating the right values and behaviours, mentoring staff, and supporting their ongoing development.
* Work with families and multi‑agency partners to deliver a high standard of care and support.
* Ensure the service meets Ofsted children's home regulations and current legislation.
* Support the development and delivery of intensive overnight stays, outreach support and respite care.
Qualifications
* QCF Level 3 or 4 in Children, Families & Young Peoples Workforce, or equivalent.
* Experience within OFSTED registered services.
* Experience coaching staff and nurturing team development.
* Experience working with children with learning disabilities and autism.
* Ability to manage difficult and challenging situations while maintaining high standards of care.
* Age 22 or older at the time of joining the service.

Other Information
This service is regulated by Ofsted; all employees must be at least 22 years old. The role involves regulated activity. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken, including an enhanced DBS check at no cost to the successful candidate.
