Rate: £300–£350 per day (dependent on experience)

Duration: 3–6 months (possible extension)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2–3 days in office)
We are currently seeking an experienced SEND Casework Officer to support a busy Local Authority in North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in line with statutory timescales
2. Coordinate and lead Annual Reviews, EHCP assessments, and panel recommendations
3. Liaise effectively with schools, families, professionals, and multi-agency partners
4. Ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014
5. Provide clear, timely, and accurate written reports and updates
6. Support tribunal and mediation processes where necessary
Requirements:
7. Previous experience in a SEND Case Officer role within a Local Authority
8. Strong understanding of EHCP processes, legislation, and statutory duties
9. Excellent communication, organisational, and case management skills
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
11. Confident using case management systems and IT tools
