Based at Ultra I&C's Cyber Centre of Excellence in Maidenhead, Berkshire, we are global market leaders in embedded encryption solutions, forged by decades of cryptographic engineering accomplishments. Key Responsibilities
* Implement software in C/C++ and/or Rust in accordance with company software development processes and codes of practice.
* Validate software by conducting integration tests on target hardware.
* Create applications in Python to support automatic test equipment development.
* Contribute to the creation of software requirements, architecture, and design documentation.
* Create unit tests and regression suites for incorporation into the CI build pipeline.
Skills Required
* Relevant degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of lower second-class honours achieved within the past two years.
* Experience with C, C++, Rust, or Python.
* Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of embedded software design for microcontrollers and microcontroller familiarity.
* Knowledge of JavaScript, node.js, and react.js.
* Knowledge of design patterns such as SOLID.
* Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, version control (GIT), C embedded programming, and knowledge of coding standards (e.g., MISRA).
Role Requirements
* Willing and able to obtain and maintain SC/DV security clearance.

Due to the nature of the programs we deliver, candidates may need to obtain relevant security clearance or handle export-controlled material as per role requirements. Applicants must be British citizens who have been residents in the UK for the past five years for SC clearance and ten years for DV clearance.
