Job Description

We are a healthcare provider that specialises in personalised care for people with brain injuries. We are looking for additional Support Workers in the Compton (Winchester) area. If you are reliable, empathetic, patient and have good communication skills we want to hear from you.

We have shifts available running every day of the week from 8am to 11am to help with the morning double up transfers. We also have wake nights every Monday and Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm.The hours can vary from full-time to part time or bank to suit your needs. The rate of pay ranges from £9.37 to £12.18 per hour. Successful candidates will also we eligible for a £250.00 joining bonus (terms and conditions apply).

We offer all our support workers a free enhanced DBS check, 25 days of paid annual holiday, and a pension scheme. You will have 24/7 contact with the office staff including managers and coordinators through our On-Call system, as well as regular supervisions and appraisals. We are a very receptive team with an open-door policy, and our aim is to ensure that you feel safe and happy doing your job. We will also provide you with extensive paid training, accredited Care Certificate, as well as specialist nurse led approach for clinical needs.

About the Client

You will be working as part of the team that supports a lady who lives with her family in the area of Compton (Winchester). Due to a stroke her mobility is restricted so you will be helping her with all aspects of personal care. She also has clinical needs that you will assist with (full training will be provided). The team and the family are working hard to ensure her continued safety in the community and promote her rehabilitation through a range of therapies with which you will asset. You will be encouraged to take part in the hobbies that our client still enjoys. She was an accomplished music teacher before the stroke and music is one of the things she still truly enjoys.

The right candidate must be passionate and resilient to make a difference in this lady's life, to ensure her rehabilitation is continued, promote her recovery and help her reconnect with the community and her interests. Due to her mobility restrictions, successful candidates must be able to drive.
