Our client is a well established property consultancy with offices throughout the UK. They are looking to add to their existing team with the hire of a Chartered Building Surveyor to their city centre Edinburgh office. They would be looking to progress the successful applicant to Senior within 12 months if certain targets are achieved. They have a real mix of projects working with high end developers, lenders and investors, public sector institutions and a selection of private local clients. Their main sectoral coverage would be Industrial, Commercial Property, Retail, and Local Authority work which would give you a huge variety in your workload. Key Responsibilities of the Chartered Building Surveyor Carry out building surveys, defect diagnosis, and condition reports Deliver project management and contract administration services Provide professional advice to clients on building-related matters Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation To be considered for this role you must be MRICS due to the nature of their work. Strong experience with contract admin and dilapidations is essential for this role also. On offer for the Chartered Building Surveyor: The starting salary for this position ranges from £42,500 to £47,500 depending on experience. You will also receive 25 days holidays plus 9 statutory days and a Healthcare scheme after a qualifying period. Exposure to interesting and varied projects and support from a collaborative team.
