Duties
* Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
* Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as required.
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems before they become serious issues.
* Assemble components and systems according to specifications.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Assist customers by explaining repairs needed in a clear and professional manner.
* Handle heavy lifting of parts and equipment as necessary during repairs.
* Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
* A valid driver's licence is essential for this position.
