Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, proactive FP&A Manager to establish and lead the financial planning and analysis function. This newly created position will play a critical role in providing accurate financial analysis, insights and forecasts to support strategic planning and operational decision-making. Reporting into our Finance Director, the role will work closely with senior leaders (including the CFO) to deliver meaningful insights into business performance, trends, and risks.
Key Accountabilities
Performance Analysis & Reporting
* Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that impact financial performance.
* Analyse timesheet data, providing regular reporting identifying trends and giving insights to improve utilisation, productively, project costing and resource planning.
* Monitor and enhance KPIs, developing meaningful reporting and dashboards for the Board and Executive team.
* Provide regular updates to management on financial performance against targets.
* Monitor and report on forecast accuracy and variance drivers.
* Lead and improve the budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Collaborate with department heads to gather and challenge key financial assumptions.
* Utilise & refine the sales pipeline data for revenue forecasting and monthly stock planning (which would provide the basis for stock holding and purchasing decisions).
* Build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
* Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to aid business planning.
* Present insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
* Perform ad hoc financial and non-financial analysis such as cost reviews, or identifying trends in operational data.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
* Establish the FP&A function to support Evolve’s Data Strategy. The function is expected to grow to meet the needs of the business and prepare for the next investment cycle.
* Business Partner with department heads to support budget ownership and management, planning and data analysis.
* Maintain financial systems and ensure data integrity.
About you: Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified with PQE in FP&A/commercial finance.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills:
* Familiar with ERP and accounting systems such as Xero or similar.
* Strong analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
* A solid understanding of core financial principles and business operations.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
* Experience in a technology or service-based environment.
* Experience in a PE backed business.
