Overview
Social Worker within Youth Justice Officer in Walsall, earning £33.30 hourly. This is an exciting ongoing opportunity for a proactive individual with expertise in Youth Justice. Based in Walsall Civic Centre, this role is available on a full-time or part-time basis to help make a difference across the borough. Applicants with qualifications in Social Work, or background as Probation Officers, Youth Workers, or other relevant degrees with Youth Justice experience are welcome.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments using ASSET+ and Prevention and Diversion Assessment Tools (PDAT).
* Develop effective plans and interventions aimed at reducing offending.
* Prepare and present Pre-Sentence Reports and Referral Order Reports.
* Participate in court proceedings, offering your expertise and insights.
* Attend and contribute to duty and joint decision-making panels, including referral order panels.
Onsite expectations
While primarily based at Walsall Civic Centre, activity with children spans the entire borough. Regular court work is located in Wolverhampton and the team generally meets in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays.
