Job Title: Residential Property Lawyer

Pay Rate: £250 per day PAYE
Role Length: Anticipated 4 months
Working Arrangements: Hybrid – increased remote working after induction and training on systems and procedures
Role Summary
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Residential Property Lawyer to manage a varied residential property caseload with minimal supervision. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Council’s tackling homelessness programme, through the acquisition of residential properties on the open market. You will be legally qualified with experience working in residential property and conveyancing. Experience of working in the public sector would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the council’s residential acquisition programme, overseeing freehold and leasehold transactions
* Handle the full conveyancing process, from initial contract through to registration at HM Land Registry
* Provide clear, professional legal advice and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and procedures
* Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders to deliver efficient property transactions
What the client is looking for
* A qualified lawyer, solicitor, or legal executive with experience in residential property and conveyancing
* Capable of managing a full caseload independently with minimal supervision
* Experience working within or alongside the public sector would be an advantage
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach
