Job Overview
The vacant post is for an International Training Fellowship in Anaesthesia & Critical Care medicine and is approved by the Post Graduate Dean under the Medical Training Initiative (MTI) scheme.
Responsibilities
* Phase induction into clinical work.
* Attend regular training sessions across a broad spectrum of specialities in line with the individual training plan.
* Participate on a 1:8 on‑call rota (12‑hour full shift) for intensive care unit and Anaesthesia at University Hospital of North Tees.
* Work an average of 48 hours per week, complying with EWTD regulations.
* Allocate a minimum of 3 teaching clinical sessions in operating theatres and/or intensive care unit with clinical supervisors each week.
* Adhere to all Trust infection prevention and control policies, including hand hygiene, personal hygiene, environmental and food hygiene.
* Undertake annual training and updates on infection prevention and control.
* Prepare for and undertake protective interventions consistent with evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
