Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner and decontamination nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring that all areas are presentable and welcoming. This role requires effective communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
* Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
* Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitise surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
* Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately while adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
* Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure satisfaction with cleaning services.
* Follow established cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure consistency in service delivery.
* Decontamination of instruments
* Follow infection control policies and procedures
* Maintain decontamination equipment
* Complete relevant logs and audits
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English to interact with clients and team members effectively.
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
* Ability to drive may be advantageous for roles requiring travel between multiple locations.
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Hepatitis B vaccination course and immunity test required
* Training can be provided
