Job summary

This is an exciting time within Worcestershire CAMHS. An opportunity has arisen to recruit Senior Mental Health Practitioners into the Tier 3 Core CAMHS service to work across various locations in Worcestershire. The service is undergoing significant development, including new pathways such as Non Violent Resistance (NVR), alongside established pathways like CBT and DBT. Additional services include Specialist Family Therapy, Psychotherapy, under 5s services, and collaboration with teams such as the Children's Eating Disorder team, Anchor, Mental Health Support teams in schools, and the Crisis and Home Treatment team. There are ample opportunities for training and development, with a structured induction and supervision plan for the first 12 months.

The service aims to become a neurodivergent-affirming organization, and the Trust is committed to being Trauma-Informed.

This post is eligible for relocation expenses for suitable candidates. Please refer to the attached policy for details.

Main duties of the job

You will work clinically within the Worcestershire Core CAMHS. Your responsibilities include assessing referrals, managing a caseload, attending MDT and team meetings, providing consultation and advice, and participating in statutory and mandatory training. You will collaborate with wider CAMHS teams and contribute to service development, supervision, and training of less experienced staff.

You will be based at one of the following sites: Aconbury (Worcester Hospital), Kidderminster Health Centre, or Redditch Town Hall. While efforts are made to accommodate your preferred location, some travel between sites may be required, with expenses covered as per Trust policy.

The Trust offers flexible working arrangements, considering applicants interested in working between 22 and 37.5 hours per week.
