Senior Claims Consultant - Public Sector
Location: Midlands, Cardiff, Reading or Leeds area. Hybrid role – required to work at least three days per week in the office.
Join Marsh, a leading insurance broker and risk advisor, to work with public sector clients including local authorities, housing associations, government bodies and blue‑light services.
Responsibilities
* Manage an allocation of clients, ensuring each receives optimum claims service from insurers and other service providers.
* Travel to meet clients as required.
* Identify needs and deliver project work at clients’ request and for the wider Marsh client base.
* Establish effective claims‑management procedures and provide insightful analysis of the client’s total cost of claims.
* Help clients understand the root cause of their losses, why they have happened and how to minimise the possibility of recurrence.
* Write reports and train clients.
* Deliver internal and external presentations.
Qualifications
* Strong public‑sector claims background with experience across EL, PL, Cyber, Property and/or Motor Fleet claims.
* Client‑facing experience advising on claims reduction, spend, process improvements and/or claims trends.
* Strong relationship‑management skills working with organisations, insurers, loss adjusters, TPAs and lawyers.
