Principal Engineer-Health Informatics-London or Newcastle We need a Principal Engineer to join our fast growing healthcare sector client with a wide portfolio of clients across the NHS and other organisations. You will be working on high profile projects for a highly respected brand. They empower their employees, measuring by outcomes that they create whilst giving them space to stand-out as individuals making a difference with their clients. Some of the responsibilities: Create strategic objectives for interoperability at local, regional and national levels Work with customers at a senior level to architect solutions to complex interoperability needs Produce quality design documentation Lead teams in delivering the solutions which MAY also include developing parts of the solution yourself (as exemplars or proofs-of-concept). Mentor staff and appraise staff performance. Schedule resources, manage project risks, quality and timeframes, and be accountable for project profitability. Design for non-functional requirements such as availability, reliability, security, etc. Identify opportunities for business development. Requirements: Evidence of applying interoperability products and/or standards to solve real-world problems. Proven ability to design solutions that achieve desired business outcomes. At least 3 years leadership experience of team leader Membership of standards setting bodies/technical design authorities. Understanding of and experience with healthcare standards (e.g. FHIR, IHE, ITK, OpenEHR, Hl7v2/v3) At least 2 years experience in Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM/Kanban) Knowledge of cloud platforms and architectures Evidence of deep expertise and hands-on experience across multiple technical disciplines including: modern user interface frameworks (e.g. React, Angular), integration (e.g. InterSystems Ensemble, Orion Rhapsody, Mirth, Biztalk, GraphNet) OO/Scripting environments (e.g. NodeJS, Python, Java, .NET) persistence technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL) security (e.g. PKI, OIDC, OAuth)
