Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Speech and Language support? A nurturing primary school in Halewood is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team and provide targeted support to pupils with communication needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on children’s development and learning outcomes.
The Role:
* Full-time position supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs
* Work closely with the SENCO and external specialists to deliver tailored interventions
* Support children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, with a focus on 1:1 and small group work
* Help pupils develop confidence, expressive language, and social interaction skills
* Monitor progress and contribute to individual learning plans
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience supporting children with speech and language difficulties
* Be confident delivering structured interventions and using visual aids or Makaton (desirable)
* Demonstrate a patient, empathetic and encouraging approach
* Be comfortable working across different age groups and adapting strategies accordingly
* Hold a relevant TA qualification or training in speech and language support (e.g. ELKLAN)
