Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Mobile Optical Dispenser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will travel to various locations to provide expert eyewear dispensing services, working closely with clients and optometrists to deliver tailored optical solutions. This position combines technical expertise, customer service, and the flexibility of a mobile work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Visit clients at designated locations (e.g., homes, workplaces, or community centers) to assist with eyewear selection and fittings.
* Provide expert guidance on frame styles, lens options, and coatings to meet clients' prescription and lifestyle needs.
* Accurately measure and fit eyewear, including pupillary distance and fitting heights, using portable equipment.
* Process orders and verify prescriptions for accuracy, coordinating with optical labs as needed.
* Perform minor eyewear repairs and adjustments on-site.
* Maintain a professional and organized mobile dispensing kit and vehicle.
* Educate clients on proper eyewear care, lens maintenance, and usage.
* Collaborate with optometrists and support staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Stay informed about the latest eyewear trends, lens technologies, and industry advancements.
* Manage travel schedules and appointments efficiently to maximize client satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as an Optical Dispenser or in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the [City/Region] area.
* Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse clients.
* Precision and attention to detail in measurements, fittings, and order processing.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to a mobile work environment.
* Knowledge of optical products, including lenses, frames, and coatings (training provided if needed).
* Certification as an Optical Dispenser (e.g., ABO certification) is a plus but not mandatory.
* Basic computer skills for order processing, scheduling, and inventory management.
* Comfortable using portable optical equipment for on-site measurements and fittings.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
