Salary: From 32,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role
We now have a fantastic opportunity for Class Teachers to join our close-knit team at Wessex Lodge School, part of Acorn Education. You will plan and deliver engaging learning daily, developing exciting and innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom. In this role, you will respond to the needs of individuals with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs, helping them flourish and thrive. You will observe, monitor and assess our students, ensuring personal development and wellbeing are as important as the academic curriculum. You will work creatively, making the most of the extensive resources and expert support available.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging daily learning experiences for students with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.
* Observe, monitor and assess student development and wellbeing alongside the academic curriculum.
* Work creatively using available resources and support to meet individual pupil needs.
* Collaborate with colleagues and liaise with other professionals to support pupils’ progress.
Qualifications
* UK QTS or equivalent
* Previous experience

You will be a passionate teacher and a great communicator, comfortable with pupils with autism and complex needs, and able to contribute to the school’s vision. You will enjoy building caring relationships with pupils and working with colleagues across the school.
