Farid Hillend Engineering have an exciting opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Vehicle Refinisher based at our manufacturing site in Dalgety Bay on a full-time permanent basis.

Ideally, you'll:
* Be familiar with Colour Identification, mixing systems & other paint related components.
* Have thorough knowledge & skills relating to secondary paint stages & repair work methods including brushing, roller & aerosol applications.
* Have gained excellent knowledge working to a high standard within the commercial spray-painting Industry.
* Have a City and Guilds / SVQ qualification (not essential but would be advantageous).
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Be used to working within a strong safety culture.
Day to day responsibilities include:
* Mechanically or manually prepare products with fillers prior to the topcoat paint application.
* Neatly Apply masking materials to products & preserve surfaces from overspray.
* Coat bare steel RCV's & other sub assembly components with epoxy primer, 2-Pak topcoats & Water Bourne paints mainly using conventional spray equipment & diaphragm pump systems.
* Prepare & paint new chassis cabs into customer specific colour schemes from a wide range of solid 2-pak & metallic based colour systems.
* Visually inspect products for poor quality before, during and after the painting process & carry out any remedial work where required.
* Maintain a level of cleanliness & good housekeeping within the department, daily maintenance & ownership of all paint spray equipment, tooling & PPE.
* Observe all aspects of health and safety regulations and report any unsafe working conditions to department supervisors.
* Chemically pre-wash bare steel bodies prior to the paint process.
* Application of polyurethane jointing sealers.
* Repair light accident damage using various fillers to new & used vehicles.
* Record PFT & follow all documentation relevant within the department.
* Perform other various duties as may be assigned on occasion.
