Tube Cell Machinist: Carrying out any required tasks on tubes.
The Tube cell machinist will work between the tube cell and the repair machine shop carrying out any required tasks on Tubes. This will consist of Machining, assembling, forming, cutting and Tube bending.
Primary responsibilities
1. Manual & CNC Machining of Tube components, fixturing and tooling.
2. Dimensional inspection/analysis of Tube cell components and associated components
3. Operation of Manual & CNC Machines
4. Operation of the Tridex Tube cutting Machine (Training will be given)
5. Operation of the BLM Tube Forming machine (Training will be given)
6. Operation of Soco Electric Tube bending machine (Training will be given)
7. Assembly of lower-level components to sub-assembly stage
8. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
9. Reporting any plant/equipment damage
10. Ensure QA Cards are completed correctly
11. Participate in any Toolbox Talks/Risk Assessments
12. Ensure personal competency records are kept up to date
13. Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
14. Responsible for ensuring that Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and general housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
15. Maintain good working relationships with other team members
16. Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications
17. Mechanical Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
18. Mechanical SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
19. Be fully competent to carry out all Machining Tasks
Experience
20. Experience of various types of Machine work
21. Good Problem solving and Analytical behaviour
