The Commercial Finance team is a small team with a wide reach, working across a number of critical DWP Commercial Categories to support our commercial colleagues on sourcing activity and to provide financial support during the in-life management of contracts. We support our customers providing financial analysis when monitoring and assessing the financial health of our suppliers during live running to ensure we bring out the best value for money in our programmes. We have an exciting opportunity for an SEO Commercial Finance Business Partner within the Commercial Directorate. The role will support: Commercial finance contract management on major programs (ranging from hundreds of millions to billions in contractual value) Support in the management of multiple relationships across DWP, in particular, with key senior stakeholders within Finance, Commercial and Policy communities. The role and responsibilities for this position include, but are not restricted to: Provide financial insight and analysis to help support Commercial strategic decision making, advising stakeholders of contractual financial risks. Communicate financial reports, processes and financial risk guidance in a simple, easy to understand manner. Carry out Financial Viability Risk Assessments (FVRA). Supporti ng the management of financial risk in accordance with the Outsourcing Playbook, ensuring early warning and effective mitigation strategies are agreed with stakeholders and put in place protect the delivery of services. Lead on monitoring risk dashboards to identify potential financial health risks, identifying impacted stakeholders and ensuring they are made aware so that they can put in place appropriate mitigations. Support Commercial Contract Managers in navigating and using a FVRA. Provide monthly reporting to the Commercial Executive Team on high risk suppliers/vendors of interest where there are financial health concerns ESSENTIAL SKILLS The application process will involve uploading a CV and personal statement. This job role is suitable for hybrid working, where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. The presentation will be a maximum of 5 minutes plus up to 5 minutes for questions.
