Are you an experienced Claims Handler ready for your next challenge? Hays is recruiting an Insurance Services Claims Handler to join a dynamic team, delivering a high-quality service to claimants, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
About the RoleAs an Insurance Services Claims Handler, you will manage all insurance claims for the Council, either in-house or in collaboration with our third-party claims handling agent. You'll ensure claims are processed efficiently and decisions are reached within set targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Register new claims on the claim system.
* Investigate in-house claims thoroughly, gathering data and evidence internally and externally.
* Communicate claim outcomes in line with agreed timescales.
* Monitor claims handled by third-party agents to ensure compliance with targets.
* Manage administrative, technical, and financial aspects of claims.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Claims Handler, with knowledge of insurance programmes.
* Ability to manage claims from inception through to decision point.
* Strong organisational skills for accurate claim recording and financial handling.
* Local government experience is not required-we value transferable skills from other sectors.
