Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to lead and oversee a diverse range of projects across our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects efficiently while managing cross-functional teams. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies and tools. The Project Manager will play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, contributing to the organisation's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
* Lead the planning and implementation of projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
* Manage project scope, schedule, costs, quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
* Supervise project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of project milestones.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues early and implement corrective actions promptly.
* Gather and document detailed project requirements in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
* Utilise project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent tools for scheduling, tracking progress, and reporting.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams using platforms like SharePoint, Confluence, Workday, or ServiceNow to facilitate communication and documentation.
* Analyse data using SAS or similar tools to inform decision-making processes.
* Prepare and deliver presentations using Visio or other visualisation tools for stakeholder updates.
* Apply various project management methodologies including Waterfall, SAFe Agile frameworks, or Product Development processes as appropriate.
* Monitor project performance metrics to ensure adherence to deadlines and budgets while maintaining quality standards.
* Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
* Proven supervising experience with a track record of managing successful projects across different sectors.
* Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
* Extensive experience with ERP systems such as Workday or SAP is desirable.
* Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
* Competence in cost control measures to optimise resource utilisation.
* Familiarity with project management software including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Smartsheet or equivalent tools.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal; capable of delivering compelling presentations.
* Knowledge of content management systems such as SharePoint or Confluence is advantageous.
* Experience with product management processes and content development is beneficial.
