Planning Engineer £42,000 per annum Poole Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm A leading food manufacturer is seeking a Planning Engineer to join its site in Poole. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where health and safety, product quality, and continuous improvement are at the forefront of operations. Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environment Champion safety across the engineering function, promoting safe working practices Ensure risk assessments are completed for all planned maintenance tasks Food Safety & Quality Ensure compliance with food safety, technical, and legal standards Identify engineering improvements to enhance product quality Maintenance Planning & Asset Care Plan and prioritise maintenance activities in line with site needs Collaborate on asset care strategies and manage engineering resource allocation Monitor and report on maintenance costs, labour, and downtime Continuous Improvement & Projects Lead improvement initiatives across plant, equipment, and processes Deliver maintenance cost savings through strategic planning and data analysis Manage stakeholder expectations and support project delivery Data Management & Reporting Capture and analyse equipment failure data and maintenance records Identify and address recurring issues Support data-led decision-making to improve engineering performance Requirements Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (HNC/HND/BSc), or time-served apprenticeship Minimum of 2 years' experience in food manufacturing or a similar industry Proficient in CMMS and Microsoft Office Strong understanding of RCM, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement If you feel this is of interest, please send your CV directly to Dan Rose at Daniel.rose @ cvtechnical.co.uk or call for a confidential discussion on 01455 291035
