We are currently recruiting for a Labour Coordinator in this brand-new role to support the Labour Manager with our direct labour and trades operatives.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Labour Coordinator to support the Labour Manager with the performance management of around 80 operatives, including both direct employees and CIS labour-only subcontractors. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth workforce planning, supporting payroll processes, and assisting with performance and compliance across a busy programme of works.
The ideal candidate will bring experience from a construction recruitment or labour coordination background, with the ability to source and recruit groundworkers, civils gangs, and other specialist operatives. You will also support the Recruitment & Talent Partner with wider resourcing activity, helping to ensure we have the right people in place at the right time to meet the demands of our projects.
This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable managing multiple priorities, and has a keen eye for detail. Strong organisational skills, clear communication, and the ability to build effective relationships with site teams and operatives are essential to success.
You will also contribute to completing measured application works (predominantly for bricklayers), as well as supporting weekly timesheets and payroll accuracy. Above all, we are looking for someone who enjoys variety, is solutions-focused, and takes pride in helping projects run efficiently through effective people management and coordination.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential as you will be visiting Casey sites as part of your role.
The role of Labour Coordinator at Casey
· Workforce Planning: Support the Labour Manager with weekly staffing reviews, labour meetings, shift scheduling, and allocation adjustments.
· Site Coordination: Conduct site visits, supervise operatives with Site Managers, and ensure compliance, reporting findings to the Labour Manager.
· Communication & Reporting: Act as a secondary contact, manage progress/cost reports, and maintain project documentation.
· Resource & Procurement: Assist with labour tracking, liaise with Contract and Site teams, and support resource coordination.
· Payroll Support: Deputise for the Labour Manager by processing weekly timesheets and ensuring accurate, timely payroll submission.
· Training Compliance: Monitor operatives' training and certification with H&S to ensure compliance with RAMS and site requirements.

What do you receive in return?
· Salary between £32,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
