The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a full-time Head Coach to lead our Manchester City Football School partnership at Parade College, Melbourne, Australia—bringing the Club’s footballing philosophy to a new generation of players.
The Head Coach will oversee the delivery of world-class coaching programs based on Manchester City’s methodology, blending sport with academic excellence. Working on-site at Parade’s Bundoora campus, the coach will also contribute to school football teams, run community initiatives, and play a vital role in the evolution of this long-term collaboration.

Your Impact
1. Deliver the Manchester City coaching philosophy within Parade College’s football program, supporting player development from grassroots to elite levels.
2. Design and implement a Football Excellence curriculum, integrating technical training with academic timetabling.
3. Develop and lead internal and external Coach Education programs, mentoring junior and assistant coaches.
4. Build strong relationships with families through feedback, progress reviews, and interviews.
5. Develop after-hours and holiday football clinics, expanding community engagement.
6. Collaborate with Melbourne-based A-League clubs, local universities, feeder primary schools, and College partners to grow the program’s footprint.
7. Maintain and present coaching plans, evaluations, and reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
8. Support the collaboration between Manchester City FC, Melbourne City FC, and Parade College.
What we are looking for
Essential
9. Holds or working towards a UEFA A License
10. Relevant qualifications in sports education, teaching, or management
11. Experience developing football players across a range of ages and abilities
12. Strong communication and leadership skills
13. Experience with digital systems (e.g. VEO, HUDL) to support coaching
14. Ability to build collaborative working relationships within a school setting
15. A proactive and innovative approach to coaching and education
Desirable
16. Experience delivering Coach Education programs or working in international projects
17. Strong knowledge of Manchester City methodology
18. Project and team management experience
19. A willingness to travel internationally for short- or medium-term support programs
Child Safety
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
20. Experience working with children in a safe and supportive environment
21. Understanding of child protection legislation, especially Ministerial Order No. 1359
22. Familiarity with child safety obligations from VIT, VRQA, EREA VSL PROTECT, and VCEA
