Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Playcafe Assist to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming and safe environment for children and their families, ensuring that all play areas are clean, organised, and engaging. This role requires a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a lively setting.
Duties
* Greet families and children as they arrive, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
* Take food and drink orders, serve hot and colc drinks
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas, including regular sanitisation of toys and equipment.
* Assist in setting up and taking down play equipment for various activities.
* Collaborate with team members to plan and execute special events or activities within the café.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults.
* A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
* First Aid certification is advantageous but not essential; training may be provided.
