About The Role
The role involves supporting the Commercial team in planning, developing, and implementing strategies for producing various fuels for EfW and biomass plants in the UK and Europe, as well as recycled gypsum powder. The position also includes providing cover for the Ridham weighbridge operation as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Compile weekly and monthly KPI reports for KCC, Suffolk, and Kingston contracts, detailing loads sent, sources, weights, and quality.
2. Assist with raising TFS Regulation pre-notifications to meet regulatory and stock management requirements.
3. Ensure pre-notifications are accurate, timely, and properly communicated to regulators.
4. Take bookings from internal and external customers for recyclate load movements.
5. Organize logistics for brokered recyclables loads.
6. Book loads with recyclate processing customers, securing references and circulating information.
7. Raise and reconcile purchase orders, sales, and purchase invoices.
8. Assist with recyclable rebates and annual price reviews.
9. Compile quarterly waste returns for the Environment Agency.
10. Support forecasting of incoming and outgoing tonnage with the Fuel Resourcing Manager and Waste Output Manager.
11. Manage site traffic via the weighbridge, ensuring compliance with site permit conditions.
12. Record weights and waste types accurately, complete documentation, and ensure compliance with waste regulations.
13. Report contamination or non-conforming waste immediately.
14. Distribute site rules and guidance to weighbridge customers.
15. Adhere to health and safety policies, report unsafe conditions, and cooperate with management systems.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook (intermediate level)
* Ability to prioritize workload effectively
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work independently
* Experience in operations or similar environment
* Experience in multi-functional administration roles
* Experience dealing with customers and service providers
* GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent
Desirable Skills
* Experience using AMCS software
* Previous experience in the waste industry
