Job description:
The Heritage Café is a highly commended award-winning eatery located in the beautiful grounds of Samlesbury Hall, a 14thCentury Manor house in the heart of Lancashire.
We are really excited to be able to offer this new role and expand our close-knit team.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, we have a busy breakfast, lunchtime, and afternoon tea trade and the front of house requires a new front of house member to assist with service.
Your main duties will include:
* Keeping all areas clean, tidy, organised and ready for customers
* Taking customer orders and using our POS system to put through to the kitchen
* Preparing and serving drinks
* Taking food to tables and checking to ensure customers are happy
* Working within a small team of hard working staff
* Knowledge of food allergens and food safety
* Maintaining POS systems and ensuring products and pricing are up to date
* Capability of working in a supervisory role when required
* Assist with occasional evening functions and weddings that take place, both at the Heritage Café and the historic Hall
You must possess a pleasant disposition and be able to communicate with all our customers in a friendly manner. Your appearance must be smart and it is vital that you share our very high standards.
Previous hospitality experience is essential.
This is a rewarding role and it is expected for you to be hands-on, a team player and to work hard to continue the success of the Heritage Café.
This is a part time position with the potential of more hours available.
The working pattern would suit someone with small children, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11.30am – 3pm
There are no split shifts. Evening and weekend work is occasionally required but is rare.
Due to the location of Samlesbury Hall, your own transport is essential.

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
