High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Durham Immediate start, full time, 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday Teaching Personnel is recruiting an experienced and confident HLTA to support children aged 11 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You'll work in a highly regarded mainstream setting. The school has a strong focus on emotional wellbeing and behaviour support and a collaborative team that values consistency, care and positive relationships. Pupils present with a range of SEMH needs including emotional regulation and anxiety difficulties, behavioural challenges linked to trauma or adverse experiences, low self esteem and disengagement from learning, and additional needs such as ADHD or communication difficulties. What you'll be doing: Delivering targeted interventions and learning support Supporting classroom management and leading small groups Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff You need: Minimum 6 months childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs Experience with SEMH or behavioural needs is highly desirable Calm, resilient and proactive approach Strong communication and leadership skills Teaching Personnel offers competitive weekly pay at £100-£110 per day, a dedicated consultant to support your placement and the backing of a trusted UK leading education recruitment agency.
