This is a world-leading facility with new capability to probe optoelectronic performance and relate it to atomic level microstructure and composition. The role is to establish ways to extract quantitative measurements such as surface recombination velocities and IQE from CL images. Features such as grain boundaries, twin boundaries and p-n junction interfaces are of particular interest.
