Offer description

Are you a dedicated and motivated Social Worker looking for clear progression, meaningful development, and a role where your professional judgement is genuinely valued? Join our dynamic Adult Social Care Hub, the front door to vital care and support services in our community, where you will make a real impact.

At Bracknell Forest, we are proud to offer more than just a caseload. Our Adult Social Care Hub is the front door to services and where meaningful change begins, giving Social Workers the opportunity to build broad, high-quality experience across safeguarding, triage, assessment and early intervention within a supportive, learning-focused environment.

This is an ideal role if you want to strengthen your safeguarding expertise, expand your professional confidence, and progress your career within adult social care.

If you would like an informal chat or a tour of the office prior to submitting your application, please contact katherine.wheeler@bracknell-forest.gov.uk to arrange a suitable time.

About you...

You will:

* Be a qualified Social Worker with at least two years’ post-qualification experience in statutory adult social care (ideally local authority).
* Have strong safeguarding knowledge and be confident applying legislation and policy in practice
* You are organised, reflective and comfortable managing a varied and fast‑paced caseload, while maintaining high standards of practice and compliance.
* You value strengths‑based, person‑centred work and are motivated by helping people remain independent, safe and connected within their communities.
* Value teamwork, professional development and positive outcomes for residents.

Whether your ambition is to deepen your safeguarding expertise, broaden your experience, or progress into senior or specialist roles, you are keen to work in a service that invest in your growth, values your judgement and encourages learning.

You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy working closely with health and partner agencies, and see teamwork, curiosity and shared responsibility as essential to good social work practice.

Our Hub is where meaningful change begins. You will be at the heart of safeguarding, triage, assessment and early intervention, making timely, strengths-based decisions that transform lives. You will join a stable, supportive multidisciplinary team where managers are accessible, supervision is reflective and meaningful, and social workers are trusted to use their professional judgement.

About the team...

Our Adult Social Care service is built on highly skilled, supportive multidisciplinary teams who share a strong “can‑do” and “no wrong door” ethos. Working as one integrated service, we consistently go the extra mile to ensure residents receive the right support at the right time.

We work closely with health services and partner agencies to keep people safe and well in their communities, helping to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions. Where hospital care is needed, we ensure it is used appropriately and support individuals to return home as quickly and safely as possible, with a strong focus on early intervention, reablement and rehabilitation to maximise independence and enable people to live well at home.

Development is a genuine priority. Through our Social Work Academy and clear career pathways, we support progression into senior practice, specialist roles or leadership, while continuing to grow your skills and confidence in your current role. Learning is embedded in the team culture, and there are real opportunities to broaden your experience and shape your career. To find out more, view our Social Work academy model: Adult social care - Social work pathway handbook .

We also recognise the importance of balance. The service supports hybrid working, flexible hours, and a realistic, people‑focused approach that values wellbeing alongside professional responsibility.
