The Role
As Financial Accountant – Flight Operations, you'll report to the Finance Manager – Flight Operations and support all accounting activities for Fuel, Crew, and Disruption costs. You'll deliver month-end activities, provide insightful analysis, and partner with Operations Finance and the wider business to ensure stakeholders have accurate and timely information.
You'll Play a Key Role In
Supporting ownership of current costs (actuals) from a profit and loss and balance sheet perspective
Delivering internal and external financial reporting
Enhancing the financial control framework
Driving and monitoring cost-saving initiatives
Collaborating with Group Financial Reporting at key periods
What We're Looking For
Qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and experience in variance analysis
Ability to communicate and challenge effectively at all levels
Proven experience interpreting accounting complexity across balance sheet, cash flow, and P&L
High attention to detail and ability to summarise complex information for non-financial stakeholders
Self-starter with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
Excellent Excel skills (up to basic macros); Planning Analytics experience preferred
Strong team player who can build effective relationships across functions

Practicalities
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
