Job overview

To take an active role in supporting the Dermatology Practitioners.
The post holder will be required to communicate with a range of people including patients Primary Care Clinicians, Information team/audit departments, Service managers Healthcare agencies and external stakeholders, Consultants and other Health Care Professionals.
Take responsibility for the administrative work surrounding outside agency activity.


Main duties of the job

* To provide administration and clinical support to nursing and AHP staff who provide care to a group of patients and participate in providing a range of services within the Outpatient setting in accordance with, Trust policies and procedures.
* To support the organisation and management of Dermatology outpatients by ensuring that clinics are efficient, and patient centred.

Education


Essential criteria

* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English Language and Maths at Grade C or above, NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent


Knowledge and Experience


Essential criteria

* Experience of working in a Healthcare Setting
* Significant experience of working with computer systems, to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) in a working/academic environment


Skills


Essential criteria

* Evidence of effective communication skills both written and oral
* Evidence of ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and of organising and prioritising own workload to meet deadlines
* Evidence of ability to work with minimal supervision
* Evidence of ability to exercise judgement when dealing with queries and to analyse and resolve problems
* Ability to build and maintain good working relationships within a team.
* An understanding of the meaning of confidentiality and the requirement for this to be maintained
