About the Role
We are opening a commercial kitchen specializing in seafood boil bags. This is a production-based role (non-customer facing) where teamwork, attention to detail, and food safety are the top priorities. Kitchen staff will work closely under the direction of the head chef to ensure all products are prepared, packaged, and handled correctly.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation and portioning of seafood and ingredients for boil bags.
* Follow standardized recipes and instructions provided by the chef.
* Package and label orders accurately, ensuring quality and consistency.
* Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times.
* Support smooth kitchen operations by keeping work areas clean and organized.
* Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and basic food storage tasks.
* Work efficiently as part of a team to meet production targets.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a kitchen, food production, or food handling role preferred (but not always required).
* Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
* Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders.
* Team player with good communication skills.
* Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks as needed.
Nice to Have
* Food handler certification or training.
* Experience working in commercial kitchens, catering, or meal prep operations.
