Job Description
The Environment Agency creates better places for people, wildlife, and the environment. We put the climate emergency at the heart of everything we do and help society adapt to environmental challenges like flooding, drought, sea level rise and coastal change.
Our asset management business system includes carbon management to meet our corporate objective of becoming a Net Zero Carbon organisation. Carbon management is being fully embedded in both the delivery of our infrastructure programme and in our management of assets. The carbon management process is supported by existing and developing carbon tools that enable construction projects and suppliers to meet mandatory carbon assessment requirements that enable the EA to produce a carbon footprint for all assets that need to be reduced over future years.
The Asset Management Business Systems Team (AMBST) supports all EA teams and suppliers in their use of carbon tools and ensures they become a ‘core’ asset management system operating with other AMBST‑supported tools for the infrastructure programme and asset management.
