The Role:
The Business Development Support Officer will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across multiple business functions within the Countryside Service at Hampshire County Council. This role will support effective governance processes, ensure accurate reporting on projects and work programmes and the smooth coordination of business processes to support project delivery and compliance requirements.

What you’ll do:
We are seeking an experienced, innovative administrator with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to identify and implement service improvements working together with the Business Development team to support the Countryside Service deliver projects across Hampshire.
You’ll support projects by managing funding requests, tracking spend, raising purchase orders, and assisting with grant applications. You’ll maintain reporting systems, monitor dashboards, and produce regular financial and project status reports. You’ll handle general admin such as meeting minutes, inbox management, SharePoint updates, and ensuring governance and deadlines across the service are met.
What we’re looking for:
You'll need an understanding of financial management, be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, be able to build effective working relationships and engage with people at all levels across multiple teams.
You'll have the ability to work well under pressure both alone and as part of a team, be self-motivated and demonstrate a passion for developing and implementing new ways of working as well as ensuring processes are followed.
