Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School

Do you have experience supporting students with behavioural needs or barriers to learning?
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in education, youth work, or support work who thrives on building strong relationships and improving student outcomes.
The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with students exhibiting challenging behaviour.
* Support pupils in managing their emotions, making positive choices, and re-engaging with learning.
* Assist teaching staff in de-escalation, behaviour plans, and classroom management strategies.
* Build trusted relationships with students to boost confidence and self-esteem.
* Monitor progress and contribute to individual behaviour support plans (BSPs).
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in an educational or youth setting.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
* A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach.
* Team-player mentality and a commitment to safeguarding.
