As a People Business Partner, you will align our People Strategy with operational objectives, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers. You will foster a positive, inclusive work environment and implement best practices in employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
How will you be the change?
Every role is vital in delivering peace of mind to our customers and driving our business forward. As a People Business Partner, you will:
* Strategic HR Leadership
o Collaborate with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.
o Develop and maintain workforce plans supporting talent acquisition and retention.
o Lead HR initiatives related to acquisitions and contract wins.
* Employee Relations
o Manage employee relations issues proactively, ensuring policy compliance.
o Conduct investigations and facilitate conflict resolution.
* Performance Management
o Partner with managers to implement performance processes.
o Guide performance reviews and career development discussions.
* Talent Development
o Identify training needs and coordinate with L&D teams.
o Support talent mapping and succession planning.
* Compliance
o Ensure case management aligns with employment law and company policies.
o Engage legal advice for complex cases.
* Data Analysis and Reporting
o Use HR systems to analyze trends and inform leadership.
o Provide regular HR metrics reports.
What does it take?
To succeed as a People Business Partner, you should have:
* A recognized HR qualification or equivalent experience.
* Membership of CIPD (desirable) or working towards it.
* Experience with TUPE processes.
* Proven ability to handle sensitive employee relations issues.
* Significant HR advisory or partnership experience.
* Strong knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
* Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and strategic thinking skills.
* Strong problem-solving and confidentiality skills.
* Self-motivation, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset.
Working arrangements
We promote flexible working, allowing remote work where possible. The role requires working between our Sheffield and Oldham offices, with two days on-site and the rest remote.
