Responsibilities
* Repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies to their original condition, including straightening frames and replacing or repairing panels.
* Use specialized tools and equipment such as welders, grinders, and paint sprayers to complete repairs.
* Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine the necessary repair procedures.
* Work closely with insurance companies and clients to assess repair needs and provide accurate estimates.
* Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Keep detailed records of repairs, parts used, and time taken.
* Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a panel beater or in vehicle body repair.
* Proficiency with welding, grinding, and other metalworking tools.
* Strong understanding of vehicle body structures and repair techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical drawings.
* Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Relevant certifications or vocational training in vehicle body repair is advantageous.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
