Archiving Assistant
Cowling Swift & Kitchin Solicitors requires an Archiving Assistant to work part time with our completions department.
The role is a diverse collection of work to include
Accurately document and archive files and assorted legal documents.
Retrieve and account for any files and legal documents required by other members of staff, good communication skills and the ability to deal with staff at all levels is essential.
Deal with the removal of obsolete files for confidential shredding, to include preparation and movement of sacks for collection
Maintain storage areas for files and other documents in an orderly fashion, including movement from one storage area to another.
Important things to considering before applying
This role requires the handling of considerable amounts of material. The sacks for shredding can weigh up to 20kg and full boxes of files etc can also be very heavy. The main storage area for files is located outside of the office (approx. 80meters away) in a basement area down a flight of stairs in a somewhat confined space. Meaning it is not suitable for anyone suffering from claustrophobia. Storage area's within the main office requires use of step-ladders.
You may also be asked to occasionally assist in the movement of other items in the office, helping to move desks or filing cabinets.

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
