Service Advisor Location : Peterborough Working Pattern: 07.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday & 07.30 – 12.00 every other Saturday Holidays: 20 days per annum plus 8 bank/public holidays Salary : Up to £38k ( Dependent on experience ) * Role Overview We are looking to recruit an experienced Service Advisor who will assist customers with their vehicle maintenance and repair needs. The role requires technical communication between the customer and the mechanics, ensuring both parties understand what needs to be done, how much it will cost, and when the vehicle will be ready. * Main Responsibilities 1. Customer Interaction * Greet customers and listen to their concerns about their vehicles. * Ask diagnostic questions to understand issues better. * Explain necessary repairs and maintenance in easy-to-understand terms. 2. Estimating and Invoicing * Prepare cost estimates for labor, parts, and services. * Obtain customer approval for work before it begins. * Generate invoices and review charges with customers at pick-up. 3. Work Coordination * Communicate repair details to technicians. * Prioritize and schedule service jobs efficiently. * Ensure all work is completed on time and to quality standards. 4. Customer Service & Follow-Up * Provide updates to customers throughout the repair process. * Handle complaints or warranty issues. * Follow up after service to ensure satisfaction. * Skills & Qualities * Excellent communication and listening skills * Basic mechanical knowledge * Strong organizational and multitasking ability * Customer-focused attitude * Computer literacy (for repair orders, estimates, and scheduling software)
