Are you a resilient, hands-on accounting professional ready to make an immediate impact? Robert Half's client, a leading professional services business in North Leeds, is seeking two experienced Senior Accountants for critical interim assignments.
About the Opportunity
In this dynamic, high-profile role, you will quickly take ownership of monthly consolidation and MEC (Month-End Close) processes, ensuring timely, error-free completion. Your expertise will free up the permanent team to focus on business-critical projects, so a "can-do" attitude and the ability to operate at pace are essential.
What You'll Do
1. Independently manage and execute consolidation and month-end close activities
2. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance throughout accounting processes
3. Identify quick wins and opportunities for process improvement
4. Report to and collaborate closely with Senior Managers to maintain oversight and share best practices
5. Support and mentor less experienced team members as needed
What We're Looking For
6. Proven track record at Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant level within complex, fast-paced organisations
7. Advanced knowledge of consolidation, MEC, and financial controls
8. Strong technical capability (competence with major accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or Microsoft D365 is a plus)
9. Resilience, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving
10. Ability to quickly pick up new systems and processes
11. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
