We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join a leading international financial services organisation on a 9-month contract starting January 2026. The successful candidate will provide legal support on a range of banking and finance matters, working closely with global stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain effective frameworks to identify, assess, manage, and report on legal risks and matters relating to Treasury. This will include:
* Leading the legal process for establishing the Treasury Intra-Group Agreement (“IGA”) Framework governing Treasury-related transactions and arrangements;
* Reviewing and advising on drafts of master service and charging agreements under the Treasury IGA; and
* Collaborating with Treasury teams and external counsel to map and summarise existing Treasury intra-group activities and the associated legal agreements.
* Support strategic projects and cross-border initiatives within a complex, fast-moving environment.
* Contribute to policy and governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
* Work collaboratively across teams and regions, supporting the development of best practices and consistent legal standards.
About You:
* Qualified lawyer (solicitor or attorney) with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience.
* Strong background in Banking & Finance; experience in Corporate or M&A work will also be considered.
* Prior experience within a major financial institution or large corporate environment is highly beneficial.
* Skilled at managing matters independently, demonstrating sound judgment, accountability, and attention to detail.
* Excellent communicator with strong analytical and drafting skills.
* Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
* Comfortable working in a culturally diverse and fast-paced global environment.
* Demonstrates integrity, resilience, and a collaborative mindset.
