The Opportunity
A leading global hedge fund is continuing to invest heavily in its Equity Technology platform, building a best in class suite of tools that directly underpin front office decision making across the full investment lifecycle.
This is a high impact, desk facing engineering role where your work will be used daily by Portfolio Managers and Quantitative Researchers across a flagship equities business. You will be trusted with real ownership, complex technical problems, and the freedom to design systems properly rather than patch them.

What You Will Be Doing
* Designing and building cloud native, full stack applications used across research, idea generation, portfolio construction, trading, and compliance
* Partnering closely with Portfolio Managers, Quant Researchers, and fellow engineers to translate complex investment workflows into robust software
* Balancing performance, scalability, and time to market in a fast moving, high expectation environment
* Working across a modern technology stack including C#, Python, Go, gRPC, and React
* Leveraging large scale data platforms such as Snowflake and ClickHouse for analytics and decision support
* Contributing to the long term evolution of a critical front office technology estate
What They Are Looking For
* 8 plus years of professional software engineering experience
* Deep expertise in an object oriented language, C# or Java being essential
* Strong experience with Python in production environments
* Solid exposure to cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
* Experience working with data intensive systems (MSSQL, Snowflake, ClickHouse or similar)
* Prior exposure to equities or financial markets is strongly preferred, though exceptional engineers from other high performance environments will be considered
