Position Summary
Salary £36,363 - £40,777 per annum | Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week. Location – Home Based with Countywide Travel.
Our Integrated Transport team is recruiting for the role of Safer Travel Officer. This rewarding, varied role involves developing personalised transport plans to help children, young people and adults with complex needs get where they need to be each day, whether they are children with special educational needs going to school or older people going to join their friends at a day centre.
Responsibilities
Carrying out person‑specific risk assessments and developing passenger safety plans; carrying out home visits and attending multi‑agency meetings with partners including education and health to ensure the safe travel of people with complex needs in Lancashire.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in transport is not required. If you have experience in supporting people with special educational needs, physical disabilities, mobility, medical or home access issues, this could be the role for you.
