The Stores Operative plays a key role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe handling of all materials and components entering, moving through, or leaving the Stores environment. The role includes RF scanning, physical and system-based stock control, loading/off-loading vehicles, and safe use of MHE (including VNA, Reach, and Counterbalance trucks). Tasks include receiving goods, inspecting for damage or shortages, handling clean and dirty assets for production, updating Oracle transactions, picking/kitting orders, and ensuring timely dispatch to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Inventory control :
Maintain stock records accurately, ensuring correct quantity, batch, and location entries in Oracle.
Conduct stock movements and transactions promptly using RF scanning devices for real-time accuracy.
Ensure stock is located safely, logically, and in the correct storage media (racking, bulk areas, floor locations).
Perform cycle counts, bin audits, and full stock audits in line with company policy.
Escalate inventory discrepancies promptly at bin-location level.
Goods Inwards & Clean/Dirty Asset Control
Receive goods promptly, completing visual checks, counts, and documentation verification.
Book inbound items into Oracle and place them into correct locations using RF scanners.
