Job Title: Project Manager - Engineering
Location: Haverfordwest
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending in experience
Role
A proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer that will oversee and support the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will play a key role in coordinating technical activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with budget, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, SMT) and external contractors or suppliers.
Monitor project schedules, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Prepare technical documents, specifications, and reports to support project development and execution.
Conduct site visits and inspections to track progress, quality, and compliance with health & safety standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and post-project evaluations.
Ensure all project work complies with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies
Any other reasonable duty as requested by a manager and commensurate with role level.
Ensure that all operating values and compliance procedures are met including Food Safety, Hygiene, Quality, HSE and Legal.
Skills & Qualifications
Industry recognised trade qualifications.
Experienced and competent in a relevant trade with skills across multiple trades.
Ability to work on your own initiative and work safely.
Knowledge of regulations and compliance in the food industry
Strong communication skills with an open, honest, and approachable manner
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure, use initiative, and meet deadlines
Highly organised, methodical, and attentive to detail
Flexible and adaptable to change with appropriate notice
Read & interpret engineering drawings and translate them into practical processes
Proficient with design and visualisation software (e.g. AutoCAD, Circos, Google Charts, DataWrapper)
Developing budgets, tracking costs, and managing subcontractor hours
Strong teamwork with ability to build morale & support continuous improvement
Committed to delivering high-quality work and meeting customer expectations
