CAMHS Rapid Response responds to young people referred in crisis, offering assessment and short-term support to young people and their parents/carers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a developing and expanding crisis service. You will be working with other administrative staff in the service.

You will be based at Wokingham and will work with other Admin staff in the service. Administrators are key to our Trust, supporting our service users and clinicians. Berkshire CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary community-based service serving a child population of approximately 300,000 across the County. The teams comprise child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, family therapists, nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, art/play therapists, social workers, and Primary Mental Health Workers.

Main duties of the job

* Support clinicians by sending out correspondence and booking appointments; answer emails and calls, follow up actions as needed.
* Experience in taking minutes, diary management, and confident use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Work on own initiative and demonstrate willingness to assist others as a key team member.
* Build effective relationships with a flexible approach to work.
* Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Organize daily operations to ensure smooth administration.

* Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to work under pressure and prioritize; NHS experience is advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills for internal and external communication.
* Intermediate to advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Ability to work effectively in a team, use initiative, and be adaptable.

Education/Qualifications

* Experience working in an office and/or customer care environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Good interpersonal, communication, observation, and reporting skills.
* Proficient IT skills, able to navigate various systems and software (Outlook, databases, MS Office, internet).
* Must own a car/drive and possess a full UK driver’s license or evidence of ability to travel to multiple sites.

Additional Requirements

* Ability to travel to multiple sites.
* Assist in providing basic non-clinical customer care support to service users with challenging behaviors, as needed.
